Things to do in Batemans Bay

Whether your travelling with your partner, your mates or as a family there is never a shortage of things to do in Batemans Bay. The Eurobodalla region has it all.   1. Timbertops Horse Riding – One and two hour trail rides through the beautiful bushland. Horses are suited to all levels and compliment the riders. Bookings are essential. 02 4457 1008.
  2. Birdland Animal Park – Beautiful gardens filled with over 100 species of native Australian birds and animals. Hand feed the animals, cuddle a wombat as well as miniature train rides.  02 4472 5364.
  3. Eurobodalla Regional Botanic Gardens – Discover flora and fauna of the South Coast and explore over 42 hectares of parklands. There are BBQ facilities, picnic areas, a child’s play space, plant shop and cafe. Open Wednesday – Sundays 9am – 4pm, NSW school holidays and public holidays. Entry is free. 02 4471 2544.
  4. The original Gold Rush Colony – explore the recreation of an 1850’s Pioneer Town. With daily guided tours, fun activities, a maze gift shop and more. Pan for real gold and explore a mine. Situated in Mogo in a relaxing bush and river setting. Open 7 days 10am – 4pm. 02 4474 2123.
  5. Mogo Zoo – feed the Lions, pat a Red Panda, sit with the Squirrel Monkeys, play with the Meerkats and meet the Rhino. Get up close and personal – Mogo Zoo is a fabulous family outing.
  6. Bodalla Dairy Shed – Something the grown-ups will surely enjoy! Fabulous food and thick-shakes, freshly churned ice cream, ricotta and Camembert cheese making. Free calf bottle feeding every day at 10am and 4pm and free cheese tastings of handmade artisan cheeses. 02 4473 5555. 
  7. Mini Golf Batemans bay – Seriously fun, 18 hole themed course. Parking, plenty of shade, drinks and ice cream. Open 7 days, weather permitting and closed on Christmas Day. 0477 228 769. 
  8. Clyde River Cruises – MV Merinda leaves the Boatshed in the heart of Batemans Bay on a relaxing and informative tour of the Clyde River. Enjoy fresh fish and chips with salad whilst travelling to Neligen. Stopping along the way at historical sites including where the notorious Clarke Brothers were held, waiting for shipment to Sydney.   10. A Golfers Delight – You won’t be stuck for golfing options in this area.
